New Version Of AccountLink

Commence - MYOB Bi-directional interface

AccountLink has received strong acceptance from our clients, and there has been tremendous interest from organisations looking at implementing CRM.

AccountLink provides a powerful tool to move CRM data automatically between Commence and MYOB. This means that company, product and invoice data is always kept synchronised and up to date between the two packages.

Development of AccountLink Version 4.0 is now well underway, with the Beta version currently undergoing internal testing.

AccountLink v4.0 has been built from the ground up using the .Net framework, and  includes many new features such as

  • standalone user interface

  • improved feedback of progress and estimated time to completion

  • improved logging and handling of MYOB import warnings and errors

  • support for Microsoft CRM

  • support for MYOB 2005 product line

  • new, enhanced installer

As existing AccountLink users will know, the previous version utilised Commence for its user interface. This is no longer the case; the user interface is a complete standalone application, which is independent of Commence or any other package.

By developing AccountLink as a standalone application, we can now integrate with CRM systems other than Commence, and we are working on integration with Microsoft CRM. The new architecture means that in future, we will also be able to add other CRM packages to AccountLink, with minimal re-engineering.

We are working now on developing AccountLink for compliance with the MYOB 2005 range of products. The MYOB component is based on MYOB ODBC v5, which offers several benefits in building a robust and reliable data transfer interface.

AccountLink now has a convenient configuration screen for setting the various parameters that control the data transfer. The CRM package can be selected from the list box, and if data is not to be sent bi-directionally (eg you may only want invoices created in MYOB), the data transfers can be easily controlled by the checkboxes. Other information, such as MYOB user name and MYOB company file is also specified in this screen.

If you are interested in AccountLink for Commence or for Microsoft CRM, please let us know on our feedback page. We can also offer development to link MYOB to other CRM packages or other applications - let us know if you would like assistance in this regard.
