Upgrading To
CommenceRM 3.0

If you have not upgraded your version of Commence for some time, now is the ideal opportunity!

Commence has now released the latest version: CommenceRM 3.0 Designer Edition. In this release, Commence have provided many new features that will help you to work faster and be a more effective organisation:

  • New Detail Form Designer tool to modify and create powerful Detail forms
  • New Multi-View filtering toolbar, making it easier to get the information you need quickly
  • Enhanced Calendar View allows you to get a better picture of your working week.
  • Installation tools improve systems administration
  • Increased database capacity
  • Various new features and improvements

More details of the new features are provided in our last issue of CRMtimes, Commence Designer Edition 3.0.

Upgrading is easy! Commence RM automatically converts the data when a Commence 4.0, 4.1, 2000, RM 2.0 or RM 2.1 database is first opened in Commence RM 3.0. After installing the software you first open the server, and then each client. Data Conversion will be completed automatically and your workgroup is ready to use.

For customers with v3.1, v3.0 and prior, you will first need to upgrade your data to a later version. We can provide assistance to help you through the data conversion process.

You can install Commence RM 3.0 to a different directory if you wish, preserving the old version on your machine. This may be useful if you want to evaluate Commence RM 3.0  prior to upgrading.

Commence RM 2.0 no longer supported

Commence has a policy to support the current version of the product and one prior version. As such, Commence RM 2.0 has reached end of life and will no longer be supported.

Those customers on a support plan with Commence RM 2.0 will of course be supported through to the expiration date of their agreement.
