Microsoft has announced that it is working on a new version of its
CRM product, Microsoft CRM 3.0. While a release date has not been
specified, it is likely to be available in Beta very soon, with the
customer release in early 2006.
Some of the key features planned* to be added to this release are
- Improved User Interface and Integration with Microsoft Office
and Microsoft Outlook.
Enhanced mobile experience for remote sales and customer service
professionals.
- Enhanced Sales Process management, Account Management and
coordinated marketing campaigns.

the customer service and service delivery business functions.

Marketing list management and wizard-driven
campaign management features

Powerful system customisation capabilities,
including creation of new CRM data tables, fields and application
forms.

Expansion of Microsoft CRM workflow to automate
standard business processes and enable cross-system process
integration.

Enhanced business reporting and analytics engine
based on Microsoft’s SQL Server Reporting Services product
offering.

Upgrade Advisor tool to help organizations plan
for their upgrade from v1.x to the next version of Microsoft CRM.
In addition, Microsoft will provide clear customer ready guidance
for existing customers wanting to ensure that all custom
application and integration development migrates to the next
release.
